Details
At the beginning of the ceremony, Ghost or Crown dancers perform a ceremonial blessing of the young women. Later, the girls are covered from head to toe with corn pollen, thus turning their hair and faces white. The girls then go into the wilderness to work on their traditional wedding dresses and reflect for several days. Upon returning, they again are blessed by the Ghost or Crown dancers.
